Charity Auction

Charity auction lot - a selection of wine glasses, decanter and tumblers

The Charity Auction, held on Friday, 5th June, proved very popular with a good attendance. Mark North made an excellent auctioneer, keeping the proceedings going with gusto, while Keith Reed, complete with white overall, was his able assistant, holding the items to be auctioned up for closer scrutiny. There was a good selection of items on offer, including tickets to games at Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United, sessions at a local gym, decanter and matching glasses, a novel written by local author, sketches by a local artist—and even a spinning wheel—and others. For the children, there was a penny auction but, much to the hilarity of the audience, they often bid in pounds much to the consternation of parents! The total amount raised for the evening was £550.00
